As we approach Jamaica’s 60th Independence we will be informing our readers about travel tips, tricks and just about any information that helps us to save our hard-earned money.

JetBlue updated parts of their rewards program for 2022 that ultimately affects Caribbean travel in a good way. This is with the introduction of a new tier entitled Mosaic+ and adding new perks for customers with Mosaic status.

What is this new Mosaic+ thing about?

For starters it is worth enrolling in JetBlue’s TrueBlue program. It allows you to earn points and gain rewards by allocating benefits to your account based on how often you fly. A person can easily earn enough points in a year that qualifies them for upgrades or a free flight if they fly frequent enough or do large booking. For example, if you have a large household and intend to do a family trip it is worth signing up and getting all the points and rewards that can be used towards future purchases.

In any case, the Mosaic+ is reserved for what JetBlue considers its best customers and is a temporary tier that will last only in 2022, for now. JetBlue promises however that perks associated with the Mosaic+ tier in 2023 will be better than its 2022 offering.

A big part of the Mosaic+ perk will be Mint upgrades certificates. Mosaic+ members will each get four certificates for the year that allow them to book a coach ticket at least 96 hours before their flight departs. The booking automatically triggers a Mint upgrade and if the customer wants to opt-out for that trip they will have to contact customer support. This is waitlisted based on the booking date such that flyers who book earlier gains higher priority on the list.

JetBlue saw the need to revamp the reward tiers based on customer feedback so it is always recommended to complete those surveys or reach out directly to customer support to air concerns you have pertaining to your flight.

Additionally, becoming a Mosaic+ member automatically qualifies you for a 12 month membership to FoundersCard Elite. This card offers outside benefits and discounts for other brands such as British Airways, other airlines, hotels, Adidas and a slew of other participating companies.

Benefits for Mosaic members in 2022

As stated, in addition to adding the new Mosaic+ tier, JetBlue is always beefing up the benefits associated with its already established Mosaic offers.

Getting Free Even More Space Seats Upgrade

Normally, Mosaic customers have the luxury of redeeming TrueBlue points at a better rate than regular customers. This gets even better now since Mosaic customers get a free Even More Space upgrade. Another good thing to note is that this also applies to any other person accompanying the Mosaic member on the same booking.

Even More Space redemptions are not valid on Blue Basic fares however.

In a similar fashion to Mosaic+ members, anyone who has Mosaic status will receive a complimentary membership to FoundersCard for 12 months. Please note the Mosaic+ gets FoundersCard Elite.

Gaining Mosaic status in 2022

The three possible ways to get Mosaic status are by racking up 15,000 Mosaic qualifying points, or 12,000 Mosaic qualifying points + 30 segments, or $50,000 spent on purchases during the calendar year using JetBlue Plus card or JetBlue Business card.

How does this affect you?

JetBlue saw the need to revamp the reward tiers based on customer feedback so it is always recommended to complete those surveys or reach out directly to customer support to air concerns you have pertaining to your flight.
