MEET JAMAICAN CEO, ONE OF AMAZON’S YOUNGEST DELIVERY PARTNERS

Cori Gordon was raised in Jamaica by Jamaican parents. She learned early the importance of education as well as self-empowerment. She is 29 years old and leads a delivery service business that is thriving in its partnership with multi-trillion-dollar online giant Amazon.

Gordon set out on her journey to the United States in 2013, not knowing that she would be making a lot of pioneering moves once she arrived. Her professional career included sales management, automotive technology, and people development. She was determined to find business opportunities that would provide a customer base, and the key to her success.

“I EXPERIENCED BURNER WORKING 80 PLUS HOURS FOR SOMEONE ELSE,” SAID GORDON, CONFORMING TO ARO TECH. “AFTER a bit of soul searching, I realized it was important for me to direct all those hours of energy into something I owned.”

Gordon comes from a family of entrepreneurs and is dedicated to personal growth and creating opportunities for everyone. She is currently the CEO of Cortoyou an Amazon Delivery Service Partner (DSP), and strives to meet customers’ needs for reliable, professional package delivery services out of Staten Island. Customers in Gordon’s Brooklyn borough receive their packages from the DSP.

Amazon’s Delivery Service Partner (DSP), a program for aspiring leaders and entrepreneurs, was launched in 2018. It offers low startup costs, high demand, and easy access to its logistics and technology.

Gordon finds great fulfillment as a DSP partner. She is passionate about creating jobs and inspiring others. Gordon stated that being a DSP partner is the most rewarding thing. It’s an honor to me. I love it when employees get a new phone or car because I know that their employment with my company helps them achieve their goals.

Gordon, the oldest of nine children, is grateful for the opportunity to be her true self. She was determined to succeed at every opportunity. She was able to build enough self-confidence to become a debater and student leader before leaving her homeland. This made her a “powerful, unapologetic leader.”

Gordon stated that all the best aspects of me are a result of my Jamaican upbringing. My professional exposure in the United States and my creative endeavors there have given me a variety of skills and talents. However, my Jamaican education and parental guidance gave me my industrious nature and indomitable spirit.

Gordon describes her DSP journey as “amazing”, and hopes to inspire others of color to investigate the program and reap the rewards of a customer-obsessed setting.
