KINGSTON (Jamaica) — Nationals of Colombia, Guyana, and Peru who intend to travel to the UK for a maximum of six months will no longer need to apply for a visitor’s permit in advance effective November 9, 2022.
This information was shared by Visa Facilitation Services Global, an outsourcing and technology company that provides services to governments and diplomatic missions around the world via a tweet.
The company that manages passport and visa issuance announced Monday that customers who have submitted biometrics (fingerprints), but have not yet submitted them, can withdraw their application to receive a refund of their visa fees.

Customers who don’t wish to proceed with an application may cancel at least 24 hours before the appointment. You will be refunded any additional fees.
The requirements for study, work or settlement within the UK remains the same.
Jane Miller, United Kingdom High Commissioner for Guyana, described the removal of visa requirements as a “real indicator” of growing UK/Guyana relations. This announcement comes just weeks ahead of British Airways’ scheduled flights to Guyana.
